Planning, managing and publishing content across the channel’s social media.
Running social media for a TV channel works a little differently.
Much of the rhythm is set by the channel’s own programme: what goes out on social media has to follow what is on air and when. At the same time, I keep track of current news and events in the country and turn them into timely posts across our channels.
The creative shows leave a lot more room to play.
With entertainment and lifestyle shows I have more freedom in what I make. Besides cutting clips from the episodes, I create different kinds of posts, memes and trend-based content that fit the tone of each show and speak to its audience.
The captions are freer too, so I can play with the wording, add humour and talk to the audience in a more relaxed, personal way.
